Allenton School Board of Trustees has been directed in writing by the Ministry of Education to review and potentially reduce our current enrolment scheme home zone. As part of the review of our enrolment scheme, we are required to consult with the community and with local schools. The consultation period must be open for at least a month and the information in this letter is the first part of that consultation. Please read the attached letter for more information.

Welcome from everyone at Allenton School!
At Allenton School we believe that schools are about and for children. A good school is one that recognises the individual needs of its pupils, the aspirations, educational expectations and values of the parents and community, and acts to meet these in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
At Allenton School we believe that schools are a partnership. A successful school is one that recognises and utilises the individual interests and strengths of its staff. In return, the teachers will show concern for each child, their individual academic, physical and social growth. At Allenton School we believe that a good school is one where the importance of good self concept is paramount, and where there is a happy, open, caring climate in which all children enjoy full participation and develop to their potential. Allenton School has always fostered good relationships with its surrounding community and aims to provide an encouraging and supportive learning environment. Our school recognises and makes use of the talents and resources within our community, and in return enjoys the support of the community. |
